Africa Forum 2023

What is the AFRICA Forum?

The Africa Forum is an annual event that seeks to bring together all CILT member countries in Africa and other members across the world, to network and discuss pertinent Supply Chain, Logistics, and Transport issues affecting the African continent.  The 2023 forum will be hosted by CILT Rwanda in Kigali.

As we prepare for a successful CILT Africa Forum 2023, we appreciate the fact that this forum will offer a unique opportunity for professionals in transport and logistics sector from all over the world to share best practices, engage with transport and logistics policy makers, interact with a wide range of stakeholders as well as learn emerging trends and developments in the sector to share, learn and promote professional and business interests in the logistics and transport industry. The forum will create a window to interact with counterparts from advanced economies and begin positioning Africa’s logistics and transport sector for future challenges and initiatives.

Africa Forum 2023 will happen amidst cumulative disruptive global crises that have threatened the free movement of goods and services across global supply chains and Africa in particular. While Africa is navigating its recovery phase from COVID-19 pandemic, its effects are exacerbated by developing geopolitical instability incidents internal to the continent, Russia-Ukraine war, and the unpredictable growing tension between China and Taiwan among others, which altogether particularly jeopardize Africa supply chain.

Now more than ever, Africa calls us to come together to build continental resilient systems of supply chains, logistics and transport that can withstand emerging global shocks on supply chain networks, to keep moving goods and services with their related information from one African country to another where they create more value.
